|
The State Farm Good Neigh Bear made his way to local schools including Oakville and Mechanicsville elementary schools in St. Mary’s County and in theMalcolm Elementary School in Charles County. Mr. Bear brought students awareness of the importance of school bus safety in a fun and interactive way. “One of our concerns is our children’s safety.” said Jill Davis, State Farm agent. “Our goal is to be proactive in the community with our school visits,” she said noting that drivers play a key role in keeping our children safe. Also, motorists need to be mindful that school is back in session and to drive safely." “The kids had a great time hugging the bear,” said Angela Bonaccorsy, also of the Jill Davis State Farm Insurance Agency. The program was a great success. Good Neigh Bear will appear at the Hughesville Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18. Parents are invited to stop by the State Farm booth and pick up a complimentary emergency identification packet for each of their children between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Jill Davis State Farm Agency is located in Hughesville. It provides insurance and financial services to residents of Southern Maryland. |
