The DNA LifePrint program introduced to America by John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted, is a program that provides parents with the vital tools recommended by the FBI and the Department of Justice to protect their children from harm. At the event to be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bayside Chevrolet in Prince Frederick, parents are encouraged to bring children to receive the latest state-of-the-art Biometric fingerprinting and DNA identification kit.

Biometrics is the newest and most advanced technology available today for obtaining fingerprints. During the event, organizers will be using the same equipment as federal agencies, law enforcement, and the military.

During times when a child is endangered because they are missing, law enforcement knows that time is critical in the recovery of a missing child. With parents in possession of the Biometric fingerprinting technology during these times, authorities are allowed access to a child’s fingerprints which can be immediately submitted into the FBI Database as soon as they are reported missing.

When the child’s fingerprints are entered into the FBI Database, the fingerprints become immediately available to all law enforcement agencies throughout the United States.

At the event, parents will receive the following: an FBI certified Biometric 10-digit fingerprint profile, a high resolution full color digital photograph of their child, a child safety journal which will provide law enforcement officials with all the necessary vital information about a child and other important facts they will need immediately after a child is reported missing and a home DNA identification kit that is easy to use and lasts through generations.

Everything during the event is free of charge to parents. The information is not stored in any database, or filed at the event location. Parents take the entire kit with them so there is no record of their child’s visit to the event and everything remains completely confidential. However, if a child becomes missing, parents greatly increase their chance of quickly recovering their child if they immediately provide the material created during the event to authorities.

A decade ago John Walsh teamed up with Miami Det. Sgt. Joseph Matthews to find a way to improve child safety across the nation. The two created the most advanced technology system called the DNA LifePrint Child Safety Program. On the DNA LifePrint Web site, Walsh offers the following pledge to parents, “our goal is to continually and tirelessly provide the absolute best Child Safety services available.”
