Mailbox Baseball: $1,000 Reward Being Offered

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating several destructions of mailboxes on Ted Drive and Ted Circle in Avenue, which occurred on May 20, at approximately 12:30 a.m.  The culprit(s) used an unknown object to strike and destroy the mailboxes along the roadways.

Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crime Solvers.  The caller does not have to leave his/her name.  If the information leads to the arrest and conviction, the caller may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  The Crime Solvers number is (301) 475-3333.

Individuals may also contact Sgt. Mark Clark at (301) 475-4200 ext. 9001 with information pertaining to this case.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA, That reminds me of something some one used to do back in the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a bunch of punk kids. These people who live on Ted Drive are at fault for not having a strong enough mailbox.

Interesting photo with the article.

Looks like a car backed into that mailbox - tire track in the grass. Maybe just a file-photo instead of actually sending somebody onsite?

NOT SO FUNNY
This is in response to "registered2s" comments. I hope the punks come to you're house smash you're mail box and trash you're yard. Two years ago a bunch of these criminals came through our subdivision on a Saturday night and destroyed over 20 boxes and took all the sunday papers and littered the entire subdivision. I had already made a non-destructable mailbox and was smart enough to leave nails sticking out of the 4x4 post. One of the idiots tried to pull it out of the ground and cut themselves, surprised they wern't stupid enough to try and sue me. Catch them, give them a fair trial, take them out back and shoot them...don't need people like that in our society.

Can't see shooting them like m13 because sometimes you just do stupid stuff as a kid. You may not be a hard core crimnal, just being stupid. If it happened to me, I would have to laugh due to carma. But a good deterent like the nails in the 4x4 always made you "learn your lesson". Or making the box with bricks/cement. Hope you won your case m13, because if you didn't, it wouldn't be funny then.

m13 - It is "your" mailbox, not "you are" mail box. Sorry I don't got the greatest grammar myself but just stating the obvious.

registered2s, how does hoping the punks come to you're house turn into a threat? You are a moron!!! Having property destroyed by "kids" having "fun" is not funny at all. People work hard to have property and some punks out joy riding and destroying personl property does not make them "kids" it makes them criminals. You would be mad as hell if it happened to you. I hope they catch them and make them pay!!!
