On June 7 at 3:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of Amberleaf Place in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a male, 17, who had stab wounds to his leg and buttock. The male was transported to hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

At about the same time, officers received a call to respond to a nearby convenience store for the report of a citizen robbery and assault. The victim, a 17-year-old male, reported that he was walking on St. Thomas Drive in Waldorf when he was approached by three unknown subjects who assaulted him and stole his cell phone. As he was being assaulted, the victim retrieved a knife from his pocket and stabbed one of the suspects. The suspects fled and the victim ran to a nearby store where he called police.

Officers located a crime scene and found evidence consistent with the victim’s account. The investigation is continuing.
