Family Sleepover at Calvert Marine Museum
SOLOMONS - 7/2/2009
|
Come experience your own “Night at the Museum” with the Calvert Marine Museum’s Behind-the-Scenes Family Overnight. On Friday, July 24, starting at 7 p.m. you will have a chance to learn what it takes to keep animals happy and healthy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learn how to prepare fossils like a real paleontologist and see where we keep our hidden fossil collection. After a snack and stories in the new Corbin Pavilion, families will follow clues to find the hidden pictures in the murals before settling in to see “Night at the Museum” in the auditorium. Lights out will find families camped throughout the museum, sleeping under the jaws of the Megalodon, lying next to the fish, or snoozing under the boats. The next morning it’s Breakfast with the Otters before heading out the door. The Family Overnight is a great way to create a unique family memory and do a little stealth learning in the process. The Family Overnight is $35 per person, and children must be 7 years or older. Participants are responsible for their own bedding. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. To reserve your space, call (410) 326-2042 ext. 41 today!
