Fireworks Light up the Night After Fun Filled Day at the Firehouse
HOLLYWOOD - 7/6/2010
Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department hosted its 2nd Annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 3 while treating the community to food, fun and fireworks galore.
The day started off with the Car, Truck, and Bike show. The department received 155 entries this year with everything from Chopper Motorcycles to Antique Fire Trucks. Over 40 trophies were given out for 'Best in Show' awards. During the day DJ Charlie Thompson played some good tunes for the crowd to enjoy until the Live Band of "No Green JellyBeenz" rocked the stage.
Games were provided for the youngsters in the crowd along with Carnival eats for everyone! The children's games were staffed by St. Johns School with 100% of the proceeds going back to them.
At dusk another spectacular fireworks display was put on as thousands of spectators packed the parking lots and nearby fields to enjoy the breathtaking show . Once the fireworks were complete "No Green JellyBeenz" played into the night...

Message from Hollywood VFD:
We hope everyone enjoyed the day and we look forward to seeing you again next year for the 3rd Annual Celebration.
Special thanks to Hollywood VFD sponsors Burch Oil and PNC Bank in Hollywood. Also thanks to the fill in crews of Leonardtown VFD, Seventh District VFD, Bay District VFD, and Hollywood EMS for standing by at the event.
Another great job by the Committee and Membership to put this event together. Without the dedication of the Volunteers at HVFD this event would not be what it is today.
