Pax River Raiders Cheer and Contact Camp
Leonardtown, MD - 7/21/2011
By Toni Byrd
Last week St. Mary's Ryken Stadium hosted a grand event for Raider Nation. Raider spirit filled the air for four straight days. Kids ages 5 to 14 beat the heat to learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. On the fourth day the football camp side of it held scrimmages while the cheer side cheered for their teams. The kids had a blast while learning what they needed to compete this season.
Each age group worked with camp counselors and coaches from St. Mary’s Ryken High School, University of Maryland, Leonardtown High School, Great Mills High School & the Pax River Raiders.
