Center for Children Hosting Harlem Ambassadors
Waldorf, MD - 3/13/2012
The Center for Children is hosting the Harlem Ambassadors on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 4:00 pm. Come see the high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines as the Ambassadors play the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Enforcers. The event will be held at the Calvary Gospel Church, 11150 Berry Road in Waldorf, MD. Tickets are $15 in advance per person and $20 at the door.
Since 1998, the Harlem Ambassadors have helped non-profits bring “Slam Dunks and Smiles” to raise needed funds for organizations around the world. The Ambassadors set themselves apart from other “Harlem’ teams by working solely with local non-profit and service organizations. For this event, the Ambassadors have partnered with the Center for Children. Proceeds benefit the Center to enable it to serve more in our community and to grow and advance its services and programs.
The Center for Children is a private non-profit organization that prevents and treats child abuse and promotes positive mental health through crisis intervention, therapy, education and advocacy. Its programs have made a difference to more than 50,000 children and families since our inception in 1989. The Center touches the lives of nearly 4,500 annually through its 14 programs.
