Traffic Stop, Warrants Served, Busted with Drugs
Lexington Park, MD - 3/19/2012
On Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 1:56pm, TFC N. E. Gresko conducted a traffic stop on a Lexus for a traffic violation in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Pegg Road. Upon making contact with the vehicle, TFC Gresko successfully identified the three occupants of the vehicle. A NCIC query of the passenger, Rayshawn Deontaye Douglas, 22, of Lexington Park revealed that Mr. Douglas had two outstanding warrants. He was subsequently arrested for the warrants. Additionally, while speaking with the occupants, TFC Gresko detected the odor of marijuana and performed a probable cause search of the vehicle. The search revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia in the ashtray and center console of the vehicle. Ownership of the items was established, with Mr. Douglas being additionally charged with Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where both warrants were served and he was additionally charged in regards to the CDS. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The remaining occupants of the vehicle where released from the scene. (1282002639)
