The 2006 Charles County Fair was held last weekend.

he 83rd county fair was reigned over by Queen Nicotina. On Sept. 8, a panel of judges interviewed all of the girls who were nominated and selected the Queen as well as her court for the coronation ceremony held on Thursday, Sept. 14. They were honored participants throughout the fair. The Queen was selected on the basis of scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities, poise and appearance, personal Interview and presentation. Queen Nicotina received a $1,000 tuition scholarship to be given by B B & T (Branch Banking & Trust Bank) among other gifts.
