St. Mary's Fair: Former Queens Celebrated, New Queen Crowned

Former St. Mary's County Fair queens from 1948 to 2005 are honored before the 2006 pageant begins. The Bay Net videos by Sean Rice.

The 60th annual St. Mary’s County Fair kicked off Friday with the 2006 Queen of Tolerance Pageant as the main event.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the fair, organizers invited all previous fair queens to attend and be recognized in a special ceremony.

See the accompanying three videos for footage of the former queens and watch the 2006 contestants introduced.

Margarita Ramos was crowned as the 2006 queen, with Angelica Harden coming in as first runner-up and Caitlin Brooks won second runner up.

Below is a revised fair schedule for the remaining fair events for today, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, September 22, 2006 -- "SCHOOL DAY"
