St. Barnabas Episcopal Church

Herbert "Herbie" Franklin Sandy, Jr. 74 of Oxon Hill, Md. Died October 28, 2009 in Georgia. He is the son of the late Herbert, Sr. and Athey Sandy. Also predeceased by his Brother's Jesse, Sr. and Leonard Sandy, Sister's Myrtle Simpson and Joan May Hill. He is survived by his Daughter Katherine Jelinek and her husband Mike, Brother William Sandy, Sr., Sister Judy Sandy McKeever, Grandchildren Kelly Burndrett and Kerry Jo Schnelder. Also survived by his Great Granddaughter Karleigh Walsh. The family will recieve friends on Sunday November 1st at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home 211 St. Mary's Ave. LaPlata, Md. Funeral Services will be held on Monday November 2nd 11am at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church 5203 St. Barnabas Rd. Temple Hills, Md. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.
