Eileen Vogel, 87, of Mechanicsville, MD died on November 4, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on March 24, 1922, in Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of William R. and Jean Mair McDonald. Mrs. Vogel was a secretary at Esperanza Middle School. She has resided in this area since 1960.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Louis Joseph Vogel, sons, Douglas Vogel (Joan) of Hughesville, MD, and Gordon Vogel of Mechanicsville, MD, and grandchildren, Abby, Brian, Allison, and Melissa.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until noon on November 12, 2009, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall, MD. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
