Funeral Service w/Rev. John Howanstine, Jr. to OfficiateLife Celebration Joan Hastings Nolan, 67, of Hughesville, MD passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, at her residence on June 7, 2012. She was the daughter of Harris Freeze Hastings, Sr. and Mary Lane Hastings. She was born in Washington, DC on July 28, 1944.

Joan worked as an Oncology Nurse at the Radiation Cancer Center in Bowie. Her love for her profession, her patients and her colleagues was carried over to her personal life as well. Her appreciation and love of life will be remembered by all her family and friends.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 9 years, Donald "Don" H. Nolan, Jr.; her son, Stephen "Steve" Wright; her daughter, Karen Clement; her brother, Harris "Hank" F. Hasting, Jr. and wife, Jane; her grandchildren, Tyler Wright and Brennan Wright; and her in-laws, Donald and Grace Nolan, Sr. Aside from her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Wright and her grandson, Russell Clement.

Family will receive friends for Joan's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 9-11AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. The Funeral Service will begin at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow to Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
