Basic Life Support (BLS for health care providers with AED and choking response),Heart Savers CPR With AED, friends and family CPR, first aid. Adult and upper level classes include CPR for adults, infants and child with instructional and hands on use of AED's and quality CPR Manikins. The goal of the Charles County Literacy Council (CCLC) is to provide FREE help to Adult Non-Readers (Adults needing assistance in reading, writing, math and other skills) throughout Charles County. Our goal is to assist our students in reaching their educational goals through one-on-one and small group tutoring. Confidential one-on-one tutoring for adults in reading, writing, math, and English as a Second Language. Tutoring is provided by certified adult volunteer tutors from all walks of life.
The Literacy Council of St. Mary's County is a non-profit voluntary organization that trains and certifies tutors to teach adults and non-readers, GED students and high school drop-outs, slow learners, prison inmates, and ESOL (English the Second Language). The coordinator matches tutors and clients and keeps records on the progress and services provided.
