Being located near PAX base, I understand that some areas, like Washington DC and California do not allow someone to keep a ferret for a pet, so am expecting, and welcome, ferrets that have to be surrendered due to relocation.

Their age at retirement range from 20 mos-4 years and their life expectancy is 12-15yrs. They make wonderful indoor pets but must be kept on leash when not in a fenced in enclosure. Our Greys come to you completely vetted(and altered), with an adoption kit and our fee is: $250. Greyhounds are calm, gentle, and quite the couch potatoes! The Humane Society of Calvert County (HSCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing humane education and care for domestic pets. Through volunteer foster homes and a "no-kill" shelter, HSCC rescues hundreds of dogs and cats (young and old) each year. After attending to any health care needs, including spay/neuter, HSCC staff and volunteers work one-on-one with each animal to get to know the animal's personality and to find a suitable adoptive home.
