The goal of the Charles County Literacy Council (CCLC) is to provide FREE help to Adult Non-Readers (Adults needing assistance in reading, writing, math and other skills) throughout Charles County. Our goal is to assist our students in reaching their educational goals through one-on-one and small group tutoring. Confidential one-on-one tutoring for adults in reading, writing, math, and English as a Second Language. Tutoring is provided by certified adult volunteer tutors from all walks of life.
Home tutoring services offered for grade levels K-8, special needs, and SAT/ACT. Excellent for remediation, review, or enrichment. Curriculum tailored to each student's specific learning level. The Literacy Council of St. Mary's County is a non-profit voluntary organization that trains and certifies tutors to teach adults and non-readers, GED students and high school drop-outs, slow learners, prison inmates, and ESOL (English the Second Language).
