Hoyer to Deliver Commencement Address at the University of Maryland

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) will deliver the commencement address at the University of Maryland on Sunday, May, 20, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This is the first time Rep. Hoyer, a Maryland alumnus, will be the commencement speaker at the university. His remarks are expected to address the school's legacy of public service and the responsibility of graduates to carry on this proud legacy.

"The University of Maryland has meant a great deal to me, and I've been very close to the university throughout my adult life," stated Rep. Hoyer. "It is a special honor and personal privilege to be able to deliver the commencement address to the graduating students of my alma mater."
