The Town of Chesapeake Beach will be hosting the First Annual Memorial Day Weekend Stars and Stripes Festival; Honoring Our Fallen Heroes. The mission of this Festival is to educate our youth and our community in the hopes of bringing back the true meaning of Memorial Day. There will be art and writing contests through area schools, family oriented activities at Kellams Field, a Non-Profit Organization Fair at the North East Community Center, a display and demonstrations of military, fire and rescue at the North Beach Volunteer Fire Dept. a USO type show presented by Twin Beach Players, military band concerts, movie on the beach and much much more. We are still accepting business ads and "In Memory Of" or "Thank a Service Member" space in our Commemorative Book, organizations for the Fair and volunteers to help that weekend.
