The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's National Capital Chapter will host Bike MS: Ride the Riverside on June 9th and 10th. Cyclists will embark on a brand- new route, starting and ending at the National Harbor in Maryland. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the annual cycling event that raises awareness and funds for MS research and programs. More than 1,000 participants from across the Mid-Atlantic region will participate in this cycling event with route options ranging from 30 miles in one day up to 150 miles over two days. All routes are fully- supported and include support and gear (SAG) vehicles and ample rest stops, concluding with a finish line celebration of live music, cheering fans, a beer garden, and delicious food donated by generous local sponsors. Last year, Bike MS raised more than $750,000 and this year's event is on track to exceed $840,000. Proceeds from the event will support programs and services for people affected by MS in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, as well as help fund nearly 400 MS-related research initiatives worldwide. Registration for Bike MS is still open for both cyclists and volunteers. To register, visit www.MSandYOU.org/bike.
