"Summer Dreams" Come True (6/15/2012)

Free Chesapeake Orchestra concert at Woodlawn Estate and Winery. Sit under the shade trees and catch a breeze from Calvert Creek as you begin your outdoor summer musical enjoyment with the Chesapeake Orchestra at Woodlawn Estate and Winery, Wynne Road in Ridge, Maryland, starting at 7 p.m. Friday, June 15. This free concert, featuring the orchestra, with Jeffrey Silberschlag as music director, will perform Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream Overture," Mendelssohn's Concerto for Violin in E minor, featuring José Cueto, violin, and Stravinsky's "Pulcinella Suite." Bring your chairs and a picnic or enjoy refreshments that will be available for purchase from Woodlawn and Blue Wind Gourmet. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought to this concert but may be purchased on site, including Slack wines.
