On Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10th the Friends of Point Lookout, and the 20th Maine Regmt Co E in cooperation with the Maryland State Park Service, invites you to attend a special day of interpretation and activities during the Annual Blue and Gray Days celebrating the American Civil War Heritage of Southern Maryland at Point Lookout State Park in Scotland, MD. Special exhibits will be set up demonstrating Union soldier life at Fort Lincoln, the Confederate prison pen, and the women nurses of Hammond Hospital. Military and civilian living historians will conduct tours of Fort Lincoln, Camp Hoffman prison and Hammond Hospital sites. They will also conduct rifle and canon firing demonstrations, drills and civilian life during the Civil War in Southern Maryland. The camps, located at Fort Lincoln, will be open on Saturday from 10 am to 5 p.m.
