The Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy (MOM) is a FREE adult dental clinic of 400 volunteer dental professionals and volunteer staff, including dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, oral surgeons, medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses and volunteer members of the community. MOM is part of a national effort to provide dental care for people who: have no dental benefits, have lost their jobs, are under- or uninsured, and Veterans. To help combat the pain and adverse effects of dental diseases, MOM is providing a free two-day dental clinic that will include dental care and oral cancer screenings using the OralCDx® BrushTest®, the first and only non-invasive oral cancer prevention tool. Patients 19 years of age or older can receive the same quality care they would receive at the local hospital emergency room.
