Traffic every morning on Rt. 235 headed towards Pax

9/30/2009 7:22 AM EST Every morning, without fail, I find myself gripping the steering wheel and trying to focus on driving and not wishing I had a Hummer so I could just kinda run on top of some of these people. I try to stay calm, its not worth it getting upset, but when you get "extreme idiots" like someone passing on the right hand side, running out of room and almost hitting you to get back into the "RIGHT" lane, I do get upset. And I'm talking before you get to the right turn lanes. I'm talking before the Bean building where there is a SOLID white line and it is not a passing lane at all. ALLOT of people don't realize there are way too many cars on this route and no one has courtesy anymore. It's everyone for themselves, do NOT get in my way!! No one knows they have turn signals, and I guess it wouldn't make any difference, no one pays attention. There is so much more I could "rant" about, but I don't have the room. And I haven't even started on the ride home!!!

I luckily do not have to drive Route 235 everyday but on the days that I do my blood pressure goes through the roof. You have aggressive drivers, idiotic drivers and people that are too busy talking on their phone to care if they have just cut you off. And if there is an accident (even if it's on the shoulder of the road) you have to wait for the rubber neckers to check everything out.

Re: Traffic every morning on Rt. 235 headed towards Pax 9/30/2009 8:02 AM EST { In reply to Wrangler4me } Well traffic has picked up tremendously over the years down here with increased population. I am sure most of the traffic is heading to the base or one of the contractors buildings in town. So now it's like being on a race track coming too and from work. Look at the increase of accidents also. The average person drives 10 mi over the speed limit most of the time. I think when we are driving we don't care about anyone else, we want to get from a to b and that is it. There are what about 10 stop lights from gate 2, and soon to be another at that Wawa just past NFCU. You really don't get free until just after passing Outback. A lot of people follow to close behind one another, then when I leave a gap to not follow close behind another car sum F%#$ thinks its a space for he/she to slide in, that is what I hate the most. But the first time I get hit and I know the other person was in the wrong um taking it too their azz before the cops arrive for sure for a quick lesson if I am not hurt too bad.

I can just imagine when the Kohl's shopping center and the "resturant park place" is done, what it is going to be like. I AM CALM NOW (or at least until it is time to drive home!)

Re: Traffic every morning on Rt. 235 headed towards Pax 9/30/2009 1:56 PM EST { In reply to Wrangler4me } Now increase your frustration by driving to DC! Since the volume is about 5x more, there are 5x more idiots! They're everywhere! Even on two lane country roads in St. Mary's. When the driving is the most dangerous, I will take their tag number and call the police. Maybe its time for Pax commuters to continually call the police. Maybe then, they'll better patrol Rt. 235 during its busiest times. Since I commute to DC, I ride a commuter bus to miss the idiot drivers
