Baynet 10/16/2009 8:43 AM EST Hey we already have St. Marys Today, a nasty rag at best. Please try and use a little class guys and gals. Rise above. I would like more editorials about environmentals concerns around the world, these are the things I find important, yes I read the crime blog and sometimes is funny, most times pretty disgusting. The worst part are your online readers, the ones that post. I no longer read St. Marys Today, because of their negative and nasty name calling. I prefer a more postive and encouraging message. I believe people spend too much time on issues that are not important, such as gay marriage. What difference does it make? And people are against that because of religion? A sin is a sin is a sin. Who among us is perfect? Who should be the judge, I hope the readers of this online news are never going to be mine, they are ruthless and discompassionate for others. What a joy it would be to hear someone write about real issues, the state of our water systems, all over the world, and I would love to see some respect for the President. I believe race has alot to do with the negative comments about President Obama, people all over the world love Pres. Obama, I think he is a fine person and a good president. I love the article you have about various things happening in our community and it isheartening to see so many people who do care. People who volunteer their time and help others. But are most people more concerned with what they are going to buy next week...or who they can put down, whats up with the prostitute article, you keep it going don't you. You dont have to sell out , you don't need that kind of attention. Stop repeatedly posting the garish junk, I can go to St. Marys Today for that. I wish the best for this news cast and hope it continues to be sucessful, lets be more positive ...and that will draw the kind of reader who gives to their community and not just complain.

Re: Baynet 10/16/2009 9:52 AM EST { In reply to krszbc1 } People loved Hitler too, does that mean I have to love him? As far as everything else, TBN is not what it used to be. It's become a commercial platform for advertisements. I doubt you'll see any of those changes.

Re: Baynet 10/16/2009 12:01 PM EST { In reply to krszbc1 } "I believe race has alot to do with the negative comments about President Obama" Truth be told, race is the main reason people LIKE Oblaba. But mostly they like what the writers have put on the teleprompter for him to read. The crux of the issue? This is where racism becomes really ugly - when a racist uses a cry of racism to silence opposing voices who are merely voicing their opinions as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Yes, I used the word black. The word "black" existed a long time before Oblaba was born. Deal with it.

Re: Baynet 10/16/2009 12:17 PM EST { In reply to krszbc1 } Spout what you like, thats what it's all about, and I will continue with my opinions. Open your mind a little and don't be so quick to dismiss criticism of this administration as racism, you might see your emperor in a different light. Somehow I doubt you will, but what the hell.

Re: Baynet 10/16/2009 1:32 PM EST { In reply to krszbc1 } TBN is a website devoted to covering the local news here in Southern Maryland. I like the fact that I can check in with this site and get local news. There are hundreds, maybe thosands of websites and other news organizations where you can go to read about international water issues, etc. How many good websites are there that cover the local events in Southern Maryland? Two or three? TBN, keep up the good work with the local focus. As far as TBN becoming a site for advertisers, well, thank goodness for them. It's called free enterprise and it is what brings in the dollars to keep the site profitable (I know, a bad word for lots of you). Now, let's consider the fact that you don't like people who have a different opinion than you do. Last time I looked, the 1st Amendment to the Constitution was still in effect (for now) and I believe we all have the right to post here. You never know, our government may throw in something like the "fairness doctrine" and try to shut down all the sites they don't like. You think we should all respect our new President. Well, I for one do not. I have no respect for a socialist who wants to change everything that is good about this country. He continues to bad mouth this nation every time he goes abroad. Yes, I have a huge problem with that and I believe I have a right to express my opinion. Granted, you may not like it but I will continue to exercise the rights granted to me by the Constitution. I don't understand why you have a problem with that. You didn't seem to mind, or post your opinion about the President needing respect when George Bush was in office. Now that President Obama has been elected, you want to change the rules. By the way, I have great respect for the Office of the President, just not it's current occupant. Let's all hope he doesn't bring disgrace to the office like President Clinton did! To TBN, thanks for keeping your focus on local issues so that I can be informed about the "goings ons" in my local community. I tried to find out what's happening in St Mary's County by reading the Washington Post and the NY Times but the never seem to cover our local news! Also, thanks for giving all of us a place to voice our opinions!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. My issues with Obama have nothing to do with the color of the man's skin. In fact, I think he's an intelligent human being who is a great public speaker. That being said, I didn't vote for him and I do not agree with his policies. Notice I DIDN'T say I didn't vote for him because he's black.

Re: Baynet 10/17/2009 10:56 AM EST { In reply to krszbc1 } TBN, Please cater all future news stories to appeal to "krszbc1." And to the "worst part of TBN," the readers who post, there will be no further discussion of this topic! Thank you
