Soup Cookoff a Success at Tech Center

The James A Forrest Technical Center was the site for a fun and tasteful evening as 28 chefs in two divisions (Junior and Senior) got together to raise money for the students competing in the Skills USA Challenge. Categories included Poultry, Red Meat, Seafood, and the Other category.

Mattawoman Eighth Grader Wins County Spelling Bee

Dang-Quang Tran, an eighth-grade student at Mattawoman Middle School, won the Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) 32nd annual Spelling Bee held Feb. 20 at General Smallwood Middle School by spelling the words "bildungsroman" and "pfeffernuss" correctly.
