Armed Robbery Attempt at Shoppers Food Warehouse

On Nov. 12 around midnight, a 5-foot-2-inch black man weighing 140 pounds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a black scarf over his face, entered the Shopper’s Food Warehouse in San Souci Plaza.

He approached a store teller and displayed a handgun while demanding money. The teller ran to the rear of the store and the suspect fled out of the establishment.

The St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack.  The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown.
