Arson Under Investigation

The Maryland State Fire Marshall's Southern Regional Office is investigating an arson case in Charles County. On Nov. 12, around 3:58 p.m., a Charles County Sheriff on patrol discovered fire in a shed at 10085 Crain Highway in Faulkner. Firefighters from Bel Alton, Newburg and Dahlgren Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene to find the interior of an 8-foot-by-8-foot aluminum shed on fire. The preliminary cause of the fire is arson. Damage is estimated at $800. This incident remains under investigation.
