Trucks Ablaze in Lusby

The Maryland State Fire Marshall's Southern Regional Office is investigating an accidental fire in Lusby. Firefighters from Solomons Volunteer Fire Department responded to 552 Walnut Terrace on Nov. 13, around 8:11 a.m., for report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, a 2000 GMC Jimmy SUV and a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Truck were on fire. The blaze was discovered by a neighbor. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be a malfunction in the engine compartment of the 2000 GMC. Damage is estimated to be $4,500. |
