Speed, Wet Roads Leave Woman Clinging to Life

On Nov. 14 at 9:58 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 7400 block of Bumpy Oak Road in La Plata, for the report of a vehicle accident. Investigation revealed the victim, 52 of Cobb Island, was traveling northbound on Bumpy Oak Road when she lost control of her car. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was transported to a hospital where she was admitted with life-threatening injuries. Speed and wet roads are contributing factors in the crash. |
