Woman Assaulted in Dispute

On Nov. 17, at 6:08 p.m., TFC R. Rezza responded to the 27000 block of North Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville, for the reported disturbance.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 52 of Mechanicsville, who advised she was assaulted by James Stuart Yates, 45 of Mechanicsville.  Contact was made with Yates and he was taken into custody and later transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review
