Guns Found in Abandoned Vehicle

On Dec. 28 at 9:15 p.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 18000 block of Prince Frederick Road in Benedict, after a computer check revealed the tags did not belong on the car. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and fled north. The vehicle was found a short time later abandoned on North Keys Road in Brandywine. Officers recovered two guns inside the car. Officer M. Rodriguez is handling the investigation. Charles County Crime Solvers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in Charles County that leads to an arrest or indictment.
