Guns Found in Abandoned Vehicle

On Dec. 28 at 9:15 p.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 18000 block of Prince Frederick Road in Benedict, after a computer check revealed the tags did not belong on the car.

The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and fled north. The vehicle was found a short time later abandoned on North Keys Road in Brandywine. Officers recovered two guns inside the car.

Officer M. Rodriguez is handling the investigation.
