Armed Man Robs Besche Oil New Year's Eve

On Dec. 31, 2008 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a suspect, described as a black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 lbs., wearing dark pants and a light gray hooded shirt, entered Besche Oil in Lexington Park. Once inside he confronted an employee of the business with a knife and demanded money. The employee gave the suspect items from her purse and he fled on foot. St. Mary’s County BCI detectives are asking that anyone with information about this crime contact them at (301) 4750-4200 ext. 1952 or Crime Solvers at (301) 475-3333.

You would think with the record prices we are all paying for oil that Besche could afford to have more than one person at the office. Also, some security features such as a walk-up bank teller style window to serve customers with out having them in the building in a one-on-one situation. Hopefully law enforcement will find the SOB responsible.
