Crime Alert: Residential Burglaries on the Rise

On March 12 and March 16, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police – Prince Frederick Barrack responded to five residential burglaries in the areas of Owings and Prince Frederick. Unknown suspect(s) are targeting houses off the roadway as well as those with unoccupied driveways. The suspect(s) are breaking into and entering the house and stealing jewelry, televisions, computers and gaming consoles. Neighborhood canvases were conducted in the areas of the burglaries. In each instance, a neighbor stated that two middle-aged black males approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall , weighing 165 pounds arrived at their residence in the morning hours, asking for an unknown person. The homeowners described the suspect vehicle as a light-colored, four door Kia. If you encounter these individuals, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
