On May 3, Charles County Sheriff’s officers arrested Clifton Goldring, 23 of Waldorf, in connection with a stabbing that occurred on April 27 in the 12000 block of Ell Lane.

The stabbing was the result of an argument between two groups of acquaintances. Goldring was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault and remanded to the Charles County Detention Center.

Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for a second suspect, Charles McDaniel Brooks, 23 of Brandywine;   however, he has not been located.
