This summer children of all ages can be creative at their local library by participating in the Summer Reading Program.  The free program, which began June 8, features lots of fun programs around the theme, “Be Creative @ Your Library,” as well as prizes and of course, great books.

This year, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are partnering with the Southern Maryland Regional Library and the county public library systems to give a free lawn seat ticket to every participant in the summer reading program.

The ticket is for the Southern Maryland Library Night with the Blue Crabs on Friday, August 21.  This exciting evening will feature a parade of summer reading participants from the Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s County public libraries; free t-shirts to the first 1,000 people; and discounted prices for anyone using the library promo code when purchasing additional tickets.  There will also be a fireworks display immediately following the game.

To learn more, visit your library or your library’s Website:  Calvert Library, www.calvert.lib.md.us; Charles County Public Library, www.ccplonline.org; and St. Mary’s County Library, www.stmalib.org.
