Drunk Driver Pulled Over with Cocaine in Plain View

On July 14, at 1:15 p.m., Donald Sheldon Strickland, 30 of Great Mills, was arrested by Tpr. J. A. Pilkerton for possession of a controlled dangerous substance not marijuana.
Strickland was operating a gray Lincoln Town Car when he was stopped on Winding Way at Oregon Way in Great Mills, for not being restrained by his seat belt. While speaking with Strickland, TFC J. A. Pilkerton observed in plain view a glass smoking device containing cocaine. Strickland was placed under arrest and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was also processed for Driving under the Influence. Strickland was later found to be driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.
Strickland was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner
