Mother Has Son Arrested for Bad Behavior

LEXINGTON PARK - 7/24/2009

On July 20, at 12:55 a.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 45000 block of Buckshot Way in Lexington Park for the reported disorderly juvenile.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 46 of Lexington Park, who advised her 15-year-old son was acting in a disorderly manner and causing damage to property inside the residence.

The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing. He was later released to his parent pending further action by Juvenile Services.

Nice...
This person needs the police to parent for them. How dumb are parents when they create legal problems for their own kids? I will never see the logic in that.

It would rather be the daughter/son to have the problems than them getting arrested for assault or child abuse like the previous stories we have read lately. So it works both ways.

I know a woman who went to the police when her daughter beat her, and the mother wanted to press charges. The police pretty much laughed her out of the station, asking why she couldn't control her own daughter. The mother told the police that if she "controlled" her daughter the way she needed to be controlled, the police would put the cuffs on the mother. There were two other children to be considered. If a parent of a seriously unruly child [teen] meets fire with fire, the parent gets arrested, and any other children are also removed from the home. All children do not listen to parents, and single moms have the worst of it. If you haven't been in this exact situation, you don't have a clue.

Actually, I think it's pretty rotten for you to pass judgement on this parent based solely on a half-baked police press release, who is most likely a single female. So what's the options? You get the police involved early to possibly turn-around an out of control kid and solve the problem. You let the out of control kid take over and become a problem adult that a few years from now will get comments on here such as "oh, he was just about to turn his life around," each time he gets arrested. Or you smack the hell out of the little tyrant, drag him down the steps, and get locked up for felony child abuse. Or you can play the counseling game, which the thought of personally makes me want to puke.

Because bluecat, it is illegal to beat your children and if he was my kid tearing up my belongings and out of control I would do the same. What do you think she should have done?

we pay, they play....she calls the cops cause she cant control her own spawn...cops come and take him away...then he is released right back to the same stupid mom... Why don't they just make a time out place for the hudlooms at the police barracks. While he is in time out, make mom watch patenting tapes to know what to do when he comes back home after his time out.

If she could not handle him to begin with why give him back to her? if more parents "created legal problems" for their kids, maybe more kids would make something out of their life rather than "create their own legal problems" as they grow up. Obviously there is a problem already that she can't control her child. But if my kid were to tear up my house there would be a a$$ whippin along with a ride with a police officer.

you dont know how big or small this mother or son is. she may have called the cops as her last choice, but do you care about that no, your just going to sit here and call her a stupid mom and he may have been relased to her but its not like they just walk out the door and leave they have to have a meeting and she may be all he has,,, people are so quick to judge one you dont know..

And i do not recall ever calling this woman stupid.......if anything i am glad to see her do it. It may be to late to try and change him but at least she did not sit back and let it go. Needless to say she has a problem if the police were called. Anyone can see that.

a teenage boy gets out of control, and the mother calls the police...you two attack this woman as if she has done something wrong...Accusing her of being a bad parent etc...you are either both very young and narrowminded (you may learn as you age) if not, you are among the other scary judgemental people who post on this site. May God or whomever you see as a higher power have mercy on you for your judgements, can you imagine if this paper got a hold of some of your mistakes or personal life. I am sure there are plenty of people just like you ready to tear you apart. Where is your compassion? When did you decide you were the judge and jury?

You need to read what was said and not put words in my mouth. Nowhere did i say she was a bad parent.This is another case of letting the child get away with stuff all his life without consequences.Does not makes someone a bad parent, just make problems for themselves. I will repeat myself since you did not read what i said. If she can't handle her own child why release him back to her? All that is gonna do is cause more problems. And no, I am not young or narrowminded.(sounds like someone being judge and jury to me by assuming) I am a adult who has 2 children of my own who would never dream of acting like that. They have been taught about respect and self-control. As I stated in a earlier post I said I was glad to see her call the cops. At least she tried to do something rather than let it go. But I guess you did not read that either. I am putting my opinion on here just like everyone else. So don't call anyone judgemental when you yourself are doing the same, as you have done with your post.

Start controlling children when they are young
I know I'm quite late to comment but I thought I would anyway. We need to teach our children discipline when they are young. They need to respect and obey their parents at all ages, in an age appropriate manner. Once they are teenagers, it's probably too late to start disciplining. The respect is a two way relationhip with our children, also. They are precious at all ages. Good discipline, respect and love are the best gifts we can give our children. Mine are 23 and 26. Both now say they are glad they had parents who raised them with discipline, love and respect. It's not easy but it's much easier than the alternative: awful teenagers and terrible adults. I will not say all problem teenagers and adults are the result of poor parenting. I do believe there's a much better change though when we do our best.

Blame no one but yourselfs on how your children act, you have allowed your child to demand respect from everyone when they should not be respected, sorry they are kids and the good ole fashion ass beatings are why the kids are like they are today not to mention why the jails are so full, parenting should have never changed from the way MOST of us were raised then we wouldnt have this problem, my kids think i mistreated them by not allowing them to run the streets well all their friends have been in trouble mine havent been,
