UPDATE: Armed Robbery at BP Gas Station in Waldorf

Charles County Sheriff Rex W. Coffey announced the arrest of William Pervis Savage, Jr., 25, of Waldorf, who was charged in connection with the July 29 armed robbery of the BP gas station at 2050 Crain Highway in Waldorf.

Detectives in the Major Crimes Unit developed Savage as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with armed robbery, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault. Savage was located on Aug. 11 at his residence on Council Oak Drive.

A search warrant was conducted and officers recovered several items of evidence related to the robbery. The Major Crimes Unit is continuing their investigation.


On July 29, at 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the BP gas station at 2050 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.

Investigation revealed the suspect approached an employee, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
