Local School Receives $2,500 Donation from Big Lots, Inc.
CHARLES COUNTY - 8/19/2009
|
Arthur Middleton Elementary School received a $2,500 donation on Friday, Aug. 14, from Big Lots, Inc., a local wholesale store that recently opened in the St. Charles community. Middleton Principal Greg Miller and Vice Principal Patricia Mooring accepted the donation from Paul Bergen, district manager of the Waldorf store, during a grand opening ceremony held at the store. Bergen said Big Lots, Inc. chose Middleton as the donation recipient because the company wanted to support and contribute to its closest neighborhood school. Miller said he plans to use the donation funds to support Middleton’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.
