We have winners! Congratultions to Kevin Slack, Hope Johann and Karrie Hodge. They were the first to answer the trivia question and each receive a family four-pack of tickets to this coming weekend's Farmlife Festival.

This weekend, Oct. 10 and 11, the annual celebration of rural life is set to open. At the event visitors may walk through the farm-life museum, eat some delicious local foods and enjoy many fun activities throughout the day.

In addition to the fun, there will be interesting demonstrations by trades professionals along with hay rides, a petting zoo, antique tractor and equipment show and entertainment all day.

The Farmlife Festival is located at 38250 New Market Turner Rd. in Mechanicsville and the gate open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. Tickets for Adults are only $7 and for children over 6, only $3. Children under six are free. Proceeds from the fun-packed event go to Christmas in April. Not only do those that attend have a great time, money raised goes to a great cause.
