Two-Car Accident in Lexington Park

At approximately 4:41 p.m. on Oct. 19, with traffic backed up all the way into Lexington Park because of an earlier accident on the Thomas Johnson Bridge, emergency units from Bay District and Lexington Park responded to a two-car accident at 22500 Three Notch Road.

According to witnesses, the driver of the Toyota was attempting to cross through the stalled traffic into the parking lot of the Chesapeake Professional Building when the driver of the Buick, traveling northbound in the ‘right-turn-only’ lane and collided with the Toyota.

The collision was hard enough to force both vehicles from the roadway. The Buick ended up over the curb and the Toyota ended up in the landscaping of the Chesapeake Professional Building. Both vehicles had air bags deploy as a result of the impact.

After being checked for injuries by EMS all three victims of the crash signed refusals and no one was transported from the scene. The accident is under investigation at this time.

Traffic Stall
I was on the Solomons side, and was somewhat annoyed with the the people racing down the right lane (exit only) to the foot of the bridge, and cutting back in only to force their way into the one bridge lane. Including a dump truck to whom I will name later after I call his company, who literaly scared an old woman to death, by forcing his way into traffic from the turn only lane. I can only imagine the tempers in Lexington Park to make the five mile, dozen and a half traffic light feeble run to RT 4, and then face another hour+ to make the 5 miles to the bridge. Incidently, there was 1 County, and one State car present, the tow truck was stuck in traffic trying to get up the bridge, but couldn't because of oncomming traffic. Miscommunication?

I was on the bridge when it started to get backed up. There wasn't really an accident on the bridge (unless something else happened right after), there was a van that looked to be towing a crappy P.O.S mini trailer with a bunch of stuff on the back of it and it looked like it broke, maybe the axle or something on it, either way they were stuck. Doesn't surprise me, it looked like a rusty bucket trailer. One more thing to clog up traffic on the lovely drive home day in and day out....god I hate this place.

It never fails, I'm either p*ssed off by the time I get to work, or before I make it home due to all the morons driving around here.

P.S. Thomas Johnson Bridge
The bridge has been on the agenda now for over 20 years when it recieved it's emergency repair. I have continued to support the same Senator, and the same Congressman during those twenty years+ with campaign promises do do something about it, and relieve the stress in traffic mishaps caused by it. I will not make the same mistake this time, I mad as he--, and I'm not going to take it anymore. Fix it or lose your jobs. enuff said

...How does that saying go? Something like: Doing the same thing over and over, each time 'hoping' for a different outcome. Glad to hear you have woke up. Now, if the rest of the state would just do the same.
