Motorcycle Accident Sends Two to Shock Trauma

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, rescue crews responded to a reported moped/motorcycle accident with injuries in the area near 24590 Pin Cushion Rd. in Loveville.
When emergency units arrived they discovered two victims, one lying unconscious in the roadway. Authorities called for transport by helicopter. Both victims were suffering from serious injuries.
Trooper 7 used the scene for its landing zone and transported one patient to PG Shock Trauma. The second patient was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where U.S. Park Police helicopter, Eagle 2 used SMH’s landing pad and transported the patient to Shock Trauma as well.
The accident remains under investigation. There is no word on the condition of either victim at this time.
