On October 22, Deputy Melissa Green investigated a domestic related assault in Lexington Park. 

The victim became involved in a dispute with the suspect who grabbed the victim and ripped their shirt.  The suspect, Megan Ching, 22 of Lexington Park, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. 

Ching was released to the custody of the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
