Oct. 27 Public Forum Postponed

The Board of County Commissioners for St. Mary’s County’s County Public Forum scheduled for  Tuesday, October 27 has been postponed due to the Life Celebration for Commissioner Dan Raley’s father who passed away Oct. 24.
 
The forum has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 15, at 6:30 pm, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown. (41770 Baldridge Street).  This public forum will be televised live on County Government Channel 95. The forum may also be viewed from the county’s website at
www.stmarysmd.com. Click on 95 Live.

The County Commissioners are holding three public hearings to discuss the Comprehensive Plan beginning this Thursday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. The first public hearing will be in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown. Hearings will also be held on Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Northern Senior Activity Center in Charlotte Hall. The first public hearing will be televised live on Ch. 95 on Oct. 29. The live meeting can also be viewed at
www.stmarysmd.com. Click on 95 Live. The other public hearings will be videotaped and broadcast on County Government Channel 95. Check the county’s website for a schedule or call the Public Information Office at 301-475-4200, x1340.

The Board of County Commissioners for St. Mary’s County and the Southern Maryland Delegation will hold a joint public meeting on Tuesday, November 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown to present the legislative proposals received from various sources for inclusion in the 2010 Legislative Package of St. Mary’s County and to receive public comment.  All citizens are encouraged to participate.
