Woman Injured After Being Robbed in Mall Lot

On Oct. 26 at 8:54 p.m., officers responded to 11110 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of a strong-arm robbery.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 66-year-old woman and her daughter were walking toward their car when the suspect ran up and grabbed the victim’s purse, causing her to fall. The victim attempted to hold onto her purse but the suspect dragged her on the ground and wrestled the purse away. The victim’s daughter ran after the suspect who fled across the parking lot and escaped.
Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for an injury to her arm.
