UPDATE Nov. 7 - What was originally considered a single vehicle accident on Oct. 31 has now been deemed a hit and run after Calvert authorities concluded its investigation into the accident. The investigative team determined that the Honda driven by a woman from Florida was traveling southbound on Route 2/4 in Huntingtown when an unknown vehicle swerved into the Honda's lane and struck the driver's side, rear quarter panel, causing the Honda to spin out and end up in the median. Calvert authorities are asking that anyone with any knowledge of this incident call the Sheriff's Office at (410) 535-2800.
At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad had a report of an auto accident on Route 4 South and Robshire Manor Road in Huntingtown. When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered a single vehicle which had lost control and flipped over on its roof. There was one patient involved in the accident, but no entrapment. The Medic Unit on the scene requested the status on a helicopter, but was informed that they were not flying because of weather conditions. The accident remains under investigation. |
