At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with traffic stalled in every direction because of traffic lights out at the intersection of Route 4 and Rt. 235, a single vehicle approached the intersection. The driver apparently failed to notice the stalled traffic until it was too late.

The vehicle swerved to the right, clipping a utility pole at the intersection and went airborne across both lanes of Rt. 235 and crashed onto another vehicle and ended up in front of Subway on the other side of the multilane highway.

The driver of the vehicle was treated on the scene, but signed a refusal and was not transported.
