On Nov. 8 at 1:05 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Hope Circle in Waldorf for the report of a shooting.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old male, was in a park waiting to meet someone when an unknown suspect approached and shot him multiple times, striking him in the leg and arm. The victim ran to a nearby house where he called police. He was transported to a hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are looking into the possibility this was drug-related.
