Long & Foster Unveils Online Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course
MARYLAND - 11/12/2009
Long & Foster®, the largest privately-owned real estate firm in the country and the mid-Atlantic’s market leader, announced it is the first real estate brokerage in Maryland to offer a fully online Pre-Licensing Course which prepares students for the Maryland real estate licensure exam. The course is offered through the Long & Foster Institute of Real Estate, Long & Foster’s real estate school.
“This may be the best time to consider a career in real estate,” said Joan Lowrey, Maryland state director of training for The Long & Foster Institute of Real Estate, Inc. “With job losses in the public and private sectors, people are seeking new or parallel career opportunities. Long & Foster Institute’s online Pre-Licensing Course, called Principals and Practice of Real Estate, offers individuals the opportunity to prepare for the Maryland state licensure exam at their own pace,” she said. “This class also appeals to students who are looking to get an early start on their careers once they graduate from college,” Lowrey concluded.
Long & Foster Institute’s new online course covers everything the student needs to know to pass the Maryland state licensure examination:
Maryland state-specific topics, including information about the Maryland Brokers Act; Broad coverage of 38 topics in real estate ensures a comprehensive and in-depth review of material for complete licensure exam preparation; Up-to-date information on Maryland licensing laws, residential mortgage defaults and foreclosures.
After students complete and pass the online Pre-Licensing Course, the State of Maryland requires all students to take a live-proctored final exam at one of Long & Foster’s regional training centers. Students have 90 days from the date they begin to complete the online Pre-Licensing Course and take the final exam.
To register for the course, call 800-543-3365, or go real-estate-careers.longandfoster.com, or contact Jan Nadeau, Career Counselor at jan@longandfoster.com or at 800-635-29133.
